The ICAR – Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Tirunelveli, successfully organized "Kisan Mela 2025 "on 26th July 2025 at its campus in Urmelalagian village, Tenkasi district. The event aimed to empower farmers through the dissemination of innovative agricultural technologies, showcase successful agripreneurship models. The programme commenced with the inauguration of exhibition stalls by the Chief Guest.  Dr. Shaik N. Meera, Director, ICAR–ATARI, Zone X, Hyderabad. He enthusiastically interacted with budding agripreneurs, appreciating their innovative efforts and offering valuable suggestions to the participants. A tree plantation drive was organized as part of the event. The Director, ATARI, Hyderabad, delivered the chief guest Keynote address and the special address was delivered by Dr. P. P. Murugan, Director of Extension Education, TNAU, Coimbatore. During the programme, selected farmers were honoured with mementos and awards for their outstanding contributions. As part of beneficiary support, agricultural inputs including Paddy drum seeders, Sprayers, Honeybee boxes, Treeloppers, Secateurs, Rice reap and seeds were distributed to the farmers. The event was graced by the presence of several distinguished guests, including Mr. Sashikumar, DDM, NABARD, Tirunelveli, Mrs. Rajeshwari, Director, RSETI Mr. Udayakumar, ADA, Kadayanallur and Mr. Ramachandran, ADH, Sankarankovil. Around 450 farmers participated in this programme.
